Cette attraction est fabuleuse tout commme l'univers de Tron ! #TronLives

Du coup au final c'était faux les rumeurs indiquant que le chantier serait stoppé pendant l'année 2021 ?
Content de voir que ça avance bien malgré tout !

C'est la partie dans le show building qui est à l'arrêt.

Ils ne peuvent pas arrêter un tel chantier, tu finis ce que tu as commencé, c'est le minimum.

La vraie question est dans la date d'ouverture de l'attraction...

C'est pourtant l'info qui circule depuis de nombreux mois sur les sites US : pause dans les travaux à l'intérieur du show building pour se concentrer sur la canopée, et probablement aussi pour concentrer les efforts des équipes sur les travaux en cours à Epcot. Maintenant, c'est vrai que ça n'a jamais été confirmé par Disney, à ma connaissance.

Je pensais en fait à la canopée : une fois les travaux commencés pour elle, compliqué d’arrêter... pour l’intérieur, en effet, Disney n’a pas communiqué officiellement.

Non, aucune date annoncée. A priori on serait sur une ouverture quelque part en 2022.

Je pars en août 2022,je vais croiser les doigts

Our Walt Disney Imagineering project team will soon celebrate a significant milestone on the construction of the TRON Lightcycle / Run attraction, as guests at Magic Kingdom Park will be getting their first glimpses of ride vehicles on the track!

As we begin the next phase of ride testing, we’ll soon start a process known as “push/pull,” where sections of the seven-vehicle train are slowly moved through the entire ride track. Once the track is completely ready, trains will begin launch tests at incremental speeds, with the team eventually working their way up to full-speed launches.

All of this exciting progress will be visible to our guests in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park as trains make their way out of the launch zone and underneath the attraction’s iconic canopy.

C’est quand même bon signe s’ils testent les véhicules déjà c’est que tout est opérationnel après la déco n’est sûrement pas finie alors wait and see …

Halala qu'est-ce que c'est excitant cette attraction.

Les sensations doivent être folles et toutes nouvelles pour les gens rodés aux rollercoaster plus traditionnels.

Et en plus le chantier avance à une vitesse

Today marks the 40th anniversary of “TRON,” the 1982 film that first introduced us to the digital gaming world known as the Grid. This sci-fi classic is special to us at Walt Disney Imagineering, because the film and its sequel, 2010’s “TRON: Legacy,” are the inspiration for one of our most-anticipated new attractions at Walt Disney World Resort.



Imagineers are hard at work creating TRON Lightcycle / Run, which is beginning to light up the skyline in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park, as you can see in this new photo. We’re in the testing phase for what will be one of the fastest coasters in any Disney park, and I know you’re going to love it. When this attraction is complete, you’ll climb aboard your very own Lightcycle and launch into the Grid for a race through a dark, computerized world.

Our story picks up following the events of “TRON: Legacy,” whose main character, Sam Flynn, is now opening new gateways into this digital realm at specific locations around the world. The first portal he created is at Shanghai Disneyland with the original TRON Lightcycle Power Run, and now Magic Kingdom guests will get their turn through this second gateway.

When you enter the attraction’s queue, you’ll feel as if you’re digitized and entering the Grid for a special Lightcycle race alongside your family and friends. You’ll all join Team Blue (hence the color of the wheels in the photo above) for a high-speed launch into a competition against Team Orange. As you swoop and swerve your way around the course, your goal is to be the first to race through eight Energy Gates and secure your victory. Will your team have what it takes?

If you want to learn more about this fascinating digital world that’s inspired Imagineers and sparked the imaginations of countless others for four decades, both “TRON” and “TRON: Legacy” are available now on Disney+. Watching both films would be a fun way to prep for your first race on TRON Lightcycle / Run, but I assure you the experience will stand on its own for any Users who are new to the Grid!

A priori la date d'ouverture de l'attraction devrait être annoncée à la D23 Expo dans une dizaine de jours.

Mais d'après pas mal de sites il se pourrait que l'attraction ouvre bien cette année, un indice est la réouverture le 6 Novembre de la boutique à la sortie de Space Mountain Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. qui avait justement été fermée pour préparer les chemins d'accès pour Tron. L'autre indice étant que des tests avec des CM ont été aperçus mais aussi des test à un rythme assez soutenu avec peu d'intervalle entre les trains, à prendre évidemment avec des pincettes mais une ouverture entre fin-Novembre et la fin de l'année semble envisageable

p*tain, presque 6 ans pour faire un coaster (même en enlevant l'année de mise à l'arrêt du chantier, c'est délirant)

Quelques sites US rapportent une ouverture retardée "économique", ils n'ont en effet aucun intérêt à ouvrir pendant Halloween ou Noël qui sont déjà ultra chargés... Vu l'ère Chapek ça ne m'étonnerait pas vraiment et difficile de ne pas y croire, quand on voit les tests runs ont lieu depuis 3 mois et que les tests humains sont en cours depuis plus d'un mois..

Non mais sérieusement, 6 ans pour un clone de ride, c'est hallucinant...

En même temps quand on regarde l'avancée des travaux, il reste beaucoup de boulot encore à l’extérieur.

Du béton à couler (vu qu'ils ne pavent pas là-bas), de la végétation à ajouter et les quelques rails du railroad à reposer, ce n'est pas vraiment ça qui prend du temps... S'ils le voulaient vraiment en 2 semaines c'est terminé, mais il n'y a qu'à voir le peu d'ouvriers présents sur le chantier pour comprendre que ce n'est clairement pas l'objectif.
