“Josh and I, even when we were working on Beauty and the Beast, I recall, as two human beings, we liked each other a lot. We made each other laugh, we respected each other’s talent, and we had a great time. Even then, we were talking about what we could do and wanting to find another project. We’ve been searching, for the last several years, projects and scripts and ideas and concepts.

In the back of our minds, we definitely had thoughts about revisiting Gaston and LeFou in a different story, obviously. So, when the idea really came to fruition and we got on board some incredible writers, and Josh, especially, had an incredible idea that, once it was born, it just flew itself. And when we pitched the idea to Disney+, they were very excited about it.

Now, we’re in fully fledged development. The second and third episodes have been written and we’ve heard some of the music by Alan Menken. We’re just so honored to have him on board, writing the music, which is extraordinary, in itself. We feel so lucky to have this talented group of people creating a story about two much loved and much hated characters, but that’s the excitement. There are a lot of questions about, where we will start? What we will tell? Who are these people? When you visit them, where will they be? So, it’s going to be a really fun experience. Me and Josh are literally vibrating with excitement to shoot it."


“No human being is one layer. There are many, many chapters to our lives, and they all inform the character and who we are. There’s a lot of intrigue, as to who these people might have been, and how they became who they were. But you’ll just have to wait to see. I’m not going to spoil it for you.”

FR : "Josh et moi, alors que nous travaillions sur La Belle et la Bête, je me souviens, nous nous sommes beaucoup aimé humainement. Nous nous sommes fait rire, avons beaucoup de respect pour le talent de l'autre et nous nous sommes bien amusés. Même alors, nous parlions de ce que nous pourrions faire et voulions trouver un autre projet. Nous recherchions depuis plusieurs années des projets, des scripts, des idées et des concepts.


Dans un coin de nos têtes, nous avions évidement pensé à revisiter Gaston et LeFou dans une histoire différente. Donc, quand l'idée s'est concrétisée et que nous avons embarqué des écrivains incroyables, et Josh, particulièrement, cette une idée incroyable, qui une fois née, a aisément pris son envol. Et lorsque nous avons présenté l'idée à Disney +, ils ont été très excités à ce sujet.


Maintenant, nous sommes en plein développement. Les deuxième et troisième épisodes ont été écrits et nous avons entendu une partie de la musique d'Alan Menken. Nous sommes tellement honorés de l'avoir à bord, écrivant la musique, ce qui est extraordinaire en soi. Nous nous sentons tellement chanceux d'avoir ce talentueux groupe de personnes créant une histoire sur deux personnages très aimés et très détestés, mais c'est excitant. Il y a beaucoup de questions sur : Par où commencer? Que dirons-nous? Qui sont ces gens? Lorsqu'on les rencontrera, où seront-ils? Donc ça va être une expérience vraiment amusante. Moi et Josh vibrons littéralement d'excitation de filmer ça."

Il y a beaucoup d'intrigues quant à l'identité de ces personnes et comment elles sont devenues ce qu'elles étaient. Mais devrez attendre pour le voir. Je ne vais pas vous le dévoiler. "

#TBT - D23 Expo edition. Midnight Masquerade debuted at D23 with 3 exclusive doll sets. This is actually the first piece of art I created for this collection where I felt like I really landed on the style I was looking for. Based on the original designs by @nonstopspiders, I was inspired by French fashion illustrations of the 1940s. I wanted the art to feel a little mysterious. Almost like I was capturing the moment each couple arrived at this amazing party. Lit by candle light or chandelier. A moment in time. More to come.....

Matt Harris, un danseur professionnel qui a été la doublure de la Bête, a partagé quelques photos, sur son compte instagram marris88, de premières phases tests pour la Bête. Et notamment un test de l'apparence de la Bête en version maquillage, avant que le choix ne soit finalement pris d'utiliser la CGI

Here's a little BTS shot of the practical effect suit that trialled for #beautyandthebeast before switching to VFX. It was so much fun to be walking around as the actual beast, it was a real dream come true. Although being over 7ft made navigating doors quite the challenge! And let's not even discuss goes difficult it was to go to the bathroom!! This was not the final version of this suit/costume, but even then it looked incredible. #beastdouble #practicaleffects #batb #tbt #labelleetlabete
