C'est toujours comme ca avec les équipes d'ouverture. Même à paris. Y'a un appel à candidature pour ceux qui serait intéressé et en général des entretiens de motivations avec les futur manager. Il faut savoir que ces CM vont avoir un rôle un peu plus poussé que leur collègues car en tant qu'équipe d'ouverture, ils seront formés directement par Imagineering et dans la plupart des cas, participent à la définition et la rédaction des procédures d'exploitation opérationnels et de formations qui seront appliqués lors dès l'ouverture. Les horaires de travail ne sont également pas les horaires conventionnels d'ouverture des parcs car ces horaires vont être dépendant des avancées des chantiers et des besoins d'imagineering (travail possible de nuit...).
Et dans le cas présent, comme il semble que le côté interactif du land soit très poussé, j'imagine que les CM vont avoir un rôle "d'entertainer" encore plus développé (en espérant qu'ils jouent le rôle à fond)

No visit to Galaxy’s Edge would be complete without a tall glass of Blue Milk and intergalactic travelers heading to Disneyland’s new themed land this summer will be able to choose between three varieties of the signature “Star Wars” drink.
The Milk Stand will offer two flavors — Blue Milk and Green Milk — in the Black Spire Outpost village, where the new land will be set in the “Star Wars” universe. Nearby, Oga’s Cantina will offer a third take on the beverage with a Blue Bantha milk and cookies combo.
The trio of “Star Wars” drinks will be sold at the 14-acre Galaxy’s Edge lands now under construction at Disneyland in Anaheim and Disney’s Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Florida.
Disney World food and beverage concept development director Brian Koziol unveiled Blue Milk, Green Milk and the Blue Bantha during a media event at Disneyland.
Disney’s culinary team was still tinkering with the concoction during the media event. Reporters were not allowed to taste the beverages during a sample menu demonstration of new foods and drinks coming to Galaxy’s Edge.
“Our delivery has not arrived just yet,” Koziol said.
Koziol described the drinks are “flavorful and delicious.”
Ever since the original 1977 “Star Wars” movie, fans have wondered the same thing: What does Blue Milk taste like?
The decades-old question presented both a challenge and an opportunity for Disney’s culinary team. Koziol and his crew has spent years trying to devise a tasty answer.
The Disney culinary team traveled to Lucasfilm’s Northern California offices in October 2015 looking for help on the ingredients, flavors and inspiration for Blue Milk.
“They really said, ‘You get to write a story,’” Koziol said.
The result was a non-dairy, plant-based milk that will be similar to a soy, almond, coconut or rice milk.
“It’s not actually milk,” said Scott Trowbridge, the Walt Disney Imagineering creative executive overseeing the Galaxy’s Edge project. “If you’re walking around Florida in the middle of August, the last thing you want is a heated glass of milk. It’s refreshing, delicious and great.”
Milk Stand
Storytelling is key in any Disney project and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is no exception. Every shop, restaurant and food stand in Black Spire Outpost will have an extensive backstory and proprietor from the “Star Wars” universe.
The best-known drink in the “Star Wars” galaxy will be served in Black Spire Outpost by the Bubo Wamba family farm. The Milk Stand will be located in a First Order-controlled sector of the village across from a docked TIE fighter. The menacing starship will serve as the marquee entrance to the First Order Cargo gift shop, run by the 709 Legion known as the Red Fury.
The Milk Stand will serve both the Blue Milk first seen in the original “Star Wars” movie and the Green Milk introduced in “The Last Jedi.” Luke Skywalker drank Blue Milk during a meal at his family’s moisture farm on Tatooine. Luke milked a sea creature known as a Thala-Siren to get Green Milk while on Ahch-To.
The Blue Milk and Green Milk sold at the Milk Stand will be a frozen-style beverage.
“It’s going to have a substance, texture wise, like a smoothie,” Koziol said. “Maybe even almost like a milkshake.”
Blue Milk will have berry and melon flavors.
“There’s essences of some berry combinations that can come through there,” Koziol said. “A lot more melony types of fruits.”
Green Milk will have tropical and citrus flavors.
“You can think of orange blossom, a little tangerine maybe or citrus elements,” Koziol said. “A little more tropical in its essence.”
According to the Galaxy’s Edge backstory, the Black Spire Outpost village will be set on the planet of Batuu, located on the outer rim of the “Star Wars” galaxy.
The architecture of Black Spire Outpost was inspired by the bustling marketplaces of Istanbul, Turkey and Marrakesh, Morocco. Circular buildings with domed roofs will dot the village. Outpost buildings will be built into towering spires of petrified trees that rise 135 feet in the air.
Concept art of the Milk Stand shows an outdoor walk-up counter under a tattered red and gold canopy with hanging glass containers filled with Blue Milk. Next to the courtyard stand is a moisture vaporator like the ones used on Tatooine by moisture farmers in the original 1977 “Star Wars” movie. A R-series astromech droid stands next to the moisture vaporator. A switchback queue amid a row of milk cans offers the only hint you’re in a theme park.
Oga’s Cantina
Around the corner from the Milk Stand, Oga’s Cantina will serve a non-alcoholic cocktail based on the Blue Milk recipe. Rather than a smoothie or milkshake, the Blue Bantha will be a non-dairy plant-based chilled milk.
The milk and cookies menu item at Oga’s Cantina will include a Blue Bantha cocktail served with a Bantha cookie chaser. A Rice Krispie treat cookie with a fondant Bantha horn is served on top of the glass.
According to the cantina’s backstory, proprietor Oga Garra is also the local crime boss of Black Spire Outpost who controls the underworld on the “Star Wars” planet of Batuu. Visitors bellying up to the spaceport cantina bar will be able to choose from an alcoholic drink menu that includes a Jedi Mind Trick cocktail, Bad Motivator IPA beer and Imperial Red wine. In addition to the Blue Bantha, the lineup of non-alcoholic cantina cocktail “potations” includes a Jabba Juice and Carbon Freeze.
Disney has not yet released prices for the three varieties of Blue Milk sold in Galaxy’s Edge. The Disneyland website says the Blue Milk and Green Milk sold at the Milk Stand will cost less than $15. No annual passholder discounts will be offered on Milk Stand sales.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens May 31 at Disneyland and Aug. 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

En voyant les précédentes images aériennes, j'avais un doute sur la largueur des allées. Mais là, avec les différents zoom et les ouvriers pour ce rendre compte du gigantisme de la chose, je ne crains plus rien tant ce land semble parfait... Réponse très bientôt!
Au faite, concernant l'ouverture en 2 phases, sait-on s'il s'agit d'un coup marketing/facilité opérationnelle ou si Ima a vraiment du souci avec RotR ?

En regardant cette vidéo, la partie ou il y a le plus de décors,ruelles,batiments et immersion ,c'est bien celle ou se trouve le faucon millenium. Quand je pense que cette partie nous passes sous le nez a Paris ,j'en pleure.
Plusieurs podcasts /vlogs mentionnent cette histoire de problème avec RotR, apparement Ima aurait du mal avec la partie "chute". Je me demande ce qu'il en est.
Mais c'est vrai que les journalistes qui il visité le land et les rides (à pied) n'ont pas accédé à cette partie de RotR.

Tu es sûr des dimensions ? J'ai l'impression pour Diagon Alley que tu as mois juste les ruelles sans tenir compte du show buildng massif. Idem pour Pré au lard : juste les ruelles sans l'immense bâtiment de Poudlard ni le coaster. Et rebolotte pour Pandora. ça ne change rien que Galaxy End est immense, mais faut pas non plus laisser croire qu'ils est plus grand que ces trois lands mis ensemble...

Cast members are overjoyed to be moving to the new land; new hires will replace them in their current roles.
Disneyland employees wept tears of joy and whooped cheers of excitement when they found out they will be among a select group of 1,400 who will help open the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge themed land.
“I’m beyond excited,” said Maria Zamora, who will be working on the inaugural Galaxy’s Edge attractions team. “I’m so stoked. I can’t wait.”
The reallocation of hundreds of cast members, Disney parlance for employees, means the Disneyland Resort will be looking to hire 1,400 new workers in attractions, food and beverage, retail, entertainment and custodial at the two Anaheim theme parks this summer to replace those that are moving to Galaxy’s Edge. The Disneyland Resort, which includes Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, employs 30,000 cast members.
Galaxy’s Edge general manager Kappy Thorsen said cast members were “coming out of the woodwork” and interest was “off the charts” for the opportunity to work in the new Star Wars land.
“It really speaks to the Disney brand but also the Star Wars brand because people just want to be a part of it,” Thorsen said. “It actually made recruiting very easy, which was really fun and exciting.”
The hiring campaign was complicated by the limited amount of details that could be shared about the highly anticipated themed land. But most recruits only needed to hear two words.
“They had me at Star Wars.” Thorsen said. “For me it’s just like, ‘Hello, #dreamjob.’”
Chris Kane has getting teary-eyed more in the last few months since he found out he would be a retail manager in Galaxy’s Edge than he has in his past 22 years at the company.
“I’m normally not super emotional, or at least I try not to be,” Kane said. “But I’ve had no choice.”
Zamora and Kane are both lifelong “Star Wars” fans.
Zamora learned to speak English while endlessly watching a VHS copy of “The Phantom Menace” after moving to the United States from Nicaragua.
“I kept replaying and replaying it until I burned out the copy,” said Zamora, 28, of Fullerton. “It was the greatest thing ever.”
Kane’s father took him as a child to a drive-in movie theater over and over again to watch the original 1977 “Star Wars” film from the back of their pickup truck.
“Sometimes when we drove by the movie theater, I begged to pull over to the side and we would just watch with no sound,” said Kane, 46, of Long Beach.
Thorsen has had several “pinch me” moments since she began overseeing operations in the new land, including the official announcement of the opening date.
“I actually had a moment of, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s real,’” said Thorsen, 48, of Yorba Linda. “There’s this enormous amount of excitement and ridiculous amount of pressure.”
The new themed land opening May 31 will be set in the Black Spire Outpost on the remote planet of Batuu, located on the outer rim of the “Star Wars” galaxy.
Disney’s wardrobe department worked closely with Lucasfilm to ensure the costumes in the new land look as authentic as the ones worn by actors in the “Star Wars” movies.
Cast members will wear costumes that place them into three distinct camps in Galaxy’s Edge: First Order soldiers, Resistance rebels or Black Spire Outpost villagers.
Villagers will get to choose from a mix-and-match collection of costumes that can be assembled into 80 combinations. Cast members will get to pick their own pieces from a selection of tunics, wraps and vests as well as accessories like necklaces, scarves, hats and belts. The costume pieces come in a variety of fabrics, colors, cuts and fits.
“It lets them express their individuality, their own backstories, their own ideas,” said Walt Disney Imagineering executive creative director Wendy Anderson.
Cast members are excited about the many costume combinations and accessories.
“Just the fact that you get to choose and mix and match,” Kane said. “That’s just fun for the cast.”
The First Order and Resistance looks will be more pre-determined. The bad guy First Order soldiers will wear sleek military-style uniforms. The good guy Resistance will wear flight crew gear with a jacket, vest and goggles on their hat.
Name tags for all Galaxy’s Edge cast members will be rendered in English and the Star Wars language of Aurebesh.
Cast members will build their own personas and backstories to help them become inhabitants of Black Spire Outpost.
“We give them an overview of the story of the land, but we’re encouraging them to create their own identities and personas,” said Imagineering managing story editor Margaret Kerrison. “All the cast are local Batuuans. They live outside of Black Spire Outpost. They’re commuting to work. They’re getting into their shuttle and they’re going into Black Spire Outpost to do their work.”
As a die-hard fan with two “Star Wars” tattoos, Zamora can’t wait to develop and refine her Batuuan persona.
“You get to be on a planet in the Star Wars universe,” Zamora said. “Any kid, any adult would be so jealous of this position right now.”
The goal is to empower the cast members as storytellers who have opinions and observations about what is happening in Black Spire Outpost — regardless of whether they are Resistance sympathizers or First Order loyalists.
“What we are encouraging them to do is know about your daily lives,” Kerrison said. “You know where you work, you know what you’re selling, you know who you’re working for. You also have an opinion of what’s recently taking place here. Which is the First Order just arrived a couple of weeks ago. How are you feeling about that? I’ve heard rumors that the Resistance is hiding here. That the First Order is looking for the Resistance. They’re just rumors, right? So there’s a lot of gossiping. There’s a lot of whispers and rumors about what’s going on.”
The role playing and storytelling in Galaxy’s Edge will bring the “Star Wars” story to life, Kane said.
“So many of our experiences are stories of yesterday or the future,” Kane said. “But this one’s alive now and it’s evolving.”
There will be limits to how far cast members can go with their in-universe persona building.
“We want to empower them to be able to play like never before,” Kerrison said. “A lot of them are Star Wars fans and they are so incredibly excited that they’re making up things that we’re like, ‘You can’t be Han’s second cousin. That’s just not a thing.’ We do have to set guardrails and parameters.”
Cast members will get “experiential-type training” that will allow them to experience Batuu before they step foot into Black Spire Outpost, said Imagineering creative director Cory Rouse. The goal: Visitors who interact with cast members in character as Black Spire Outpost inhabitants will get a glimpse into their day and daily life on Batuu.
“The training is more about their understanding of what their day-to-day life is. Where do they come from? What do they do?” Rouse said. “We’re not presenting Batuu. You’re on Batuu. So that’s a very subtle but a very important part of our training.”
Galaxy’s Edge trainees will learn about the First Order and the Resistance and then make a choice about which side to support.
“You get to pick your affiliation,” Thorsen said. “We’re teaching them this backstory of the outpost. Then they really get to go, ‘Well, I feel like I’m aligned more with this group.’”
The training encourages cast members to create genuine and authentic backstories that are true to the Star Wars universe.
“It’s going to be real,” Thorsen said. “It’s coming from their minds instead of us feeding them information. Then we know our guests are going to come in with their affiliations or how they see themselves or who they prefer. And when you bring those groups together, it’s mind blowing.”
The goal is to keep the storytelling simple and uncomplicated. If you have a pet in the real world, then you have a pet on Batuu as well, Thorsen said.
“I don’t know what kind of pet,” Thorsen said. “I’ve got to figure that out, but I have some creature that lives with me.”
Cast members working in Galaxy’s Edge will get a full day of immersion training and learn about the ongoing conflicts taking place in Black Spire Outpost.
“They’re being taught there’s bosses in Batuu,” Thorsen said. “Do not cross them. This is not Fantasyland. This is not It’s a Small World. Everybody’s not singing and smiling necessarily. You’ve got to be careful. You don’t know what’s around the corner.”
Tout dépend du nombre de positions par attractions, restaurants, boutiques.... Mais comme ils s’attendent en plus à ce se faire défoncer non stop en terme d'affluence durant les 1er mois, cela ne me parait pas forcément déconnant si l'on pend toutes les problématiques organisationnelles en compte et qui vont nécessiter du personnel.

Est-ce que ne nombre de 1400 inclut des performeurs pour animer divers coins du land et occuper ainsi les guests qui devront attendre des heures pour faire les attractions?
Parce que si Disney propose des characters résistants qui expliquent aux guests qui sont poursuivis par un peloton de Stormtroopers qui cherchent un fugitif, ça demande forcement un peu de monde en plus. Sans compter les éventuelles characters maquillés en créature qui peuvent aussi déambuler dans les allées, histoire d'immerger encore plus les guests dans l'univers Star Wars.

Disneyland Resort lance des promotions pour les deux prochains mois dans ses trois hôtels pour les nuits du dimanche au jeudi (20 à 25 % de réduction) et y organise plusieurs activités et animations comme des cours de dessins, des points photos etc...
Par contre les trois hôtels affichent maintenant complet pour la nuit précédant l'ouverture de Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge, toutes les chambres et suites ont été réservées.
Le Paradise Pier Hotel est également complet pour la nuit du 31 mai au 1er juin, alors que le Disneyland Hotel dispose encore de quelques disponibilités (à partir de 651 $ la chambre), de même que le Grand Californian Hotel (à partir de 821 $ la chambre).

Si ça se trouve ,elle va être supprimée par autre chose . Ils ont toujours un plan B si ça veut vraiment pas fonctionner et sécurisé .
Trouve-moi un autre moyen de faire descendre les véhicules au rez-de-chaussée sans ce système ?
Et c'est normal aussi de ne pas tous dévoiler aux journalistes. À mon avis ça n'a rien à voir avec un "souci technique", qui d'ailleurs n'existe peut-être pas. Car oui, le téléphone arabe c'est souvent propice dans ces circonstances actuels.
