[Disneyland Park] Matterhorn Bobsleds (1959)

Impressionnante la nouvelle théma de l'attraction: une montagne d'échafaudage. ^^

Work on the Matterhorn also presses on, with scaffolding covering nearly the entire mountain.




Green spray-painted lines have appeared at various places on the rock work.




Views from the Monorail show that the loading platforms have been removed and will be completely rebuilt

A section of refurbishment walls have new signage detailing the history of the attraction, from concept stages to the current enhancements being worked on today. It's a nice touch and a great way to explain what's happening during this attraction's long six-month refurbishment.

Intéressante ces palissades, elles s'intègrent assez bien au land et en plus elles informent les visiteurs sur l'histoire de l'attraction, etc...

Réouverture de l'attraction le 15 juin mais une mauvaise nouvelle attend les enfants! En effet, la nouvelle configuration des Bobsleds impose désormais une taille minimum de 42 pouces au lieu de 35 pouces auparavant, soit 2 pouces de plus que Splash Mountain ou Space Mountain!!

Beau travail sur cette attraction mytique. Sait on si il y aura des ajouts ou modifications a l'interieur ?

On entend rarement les personnes qui ont la chance d’essayer ce ride.

Quelles sont vos impressions?
Est ce un must du Disneyland Resort cette attraction?

Honnêtement, le décor est sublime. L'attraction elle-même est vieillotte et secoue vachement. Mais bon, on la fait pour son aspect "historique" avant tout

Pour moi c'est également un must, l'une de ces attractions nostalgiques, témoins du vieux Disneyland de l'oncle Walt.

C'est emprunt de cette même magie nostalgique que l'on retrouve à Jungle Cruise ou à l'Enchanted Tiki Room: C'est suffisamment vieillot pour être nostalgique et rétro et pas assez vieillot pour être ringard.

Bref, de la bonne magie Disney à l'ancienne

L'attraction est réouverte depuis le 15 juin dernier! Avec une file Single Rider!! Par contre, les nouveaux sièges sont apparemment très inconfortables... moi qui trouvais les anciens peu confortables, qu'est ce que ça doit être?!

The Matterhorn has unfortunately become a painful endeavor. We aren’t just talking about the hard seats of the tiny bobsleds. The wait times are huge right now with the Summer crowds and heightened demand on the attraction.






From here you can choose whatever side you would like to ride. There is usually no wait for single rider and it’s all easy to do.

On a sour note, the new seats are a pain in the butt. Literally. They REALLY need to pad the seats as they did on Space Mountain in Florida. The Matterhorn may look better than ever, but it doesn’t feel better than ever.

Je confirme, les sièges étaient très inconfortables. Le ride fait plus mal aux fesses qu'autre chose...

Peu etre qu'ils vont résoudre ce probleme d'ici peu..
