Lin-Manuel Miranda a en effet révélé qu'il s'est beaucoup inspiré de Belle pour écrire The Family Madrigal. Ça sera d'ailleurs la première chanson du film.
We Don't Talk About Bruno (dont on peut apparemment entendre quelques extraits dans le trailer) sera aussi un des numéros musicaux les plus importants de Encanto. La tante Pepa enfreint la règle de ne pas parler de l'oncle Bruno et raconte comment ses visions ont ruiné le jour de son mariage et la vie de tous les habitants. Les autres membres de la famille se mettent ensuite à chanter avec elle.
Le personnage de Luisa aura également une chanson reggaeton nommée Surface Pressure où elle déclare qu'elle n'est pas aussi forte qu'elle en a l'air.
Et enfin, la semaine prochaine, l'émission Dancing With The Stars proposera un aperçu musical de Colombia, Mi Encanto! que Disney espère voir concourir aux Oscars.

Byron Howard et Jared Bush se remémorent comment l'idée de Encanto leur est venue à l'esprit.

Citation :: Byron and I teamed up on Zootopia wanting to evolve and elevate what a talking animal movie could be. Something with depth of character and sophistication without sacrificing entertainment, but built from a core that really had something to say.
And because we’re both musicians, trombonists, by the way, we wanted to apply these same storytelling principles that Jared just mentioned to a musical. We love—L-O-V-E—love musicals. I directed Tangled; Jared wrote Moana. And we knew that if we wanted to take a fresh approach to musicals, we were going to need to work with the best. And luckily, on Moana, Jared worked with Lin-Manuel Miranda.
As you know, Lin-Manuel’s whole career is about evolving what a musical could be. Obviously, what he brought to Moana was innovative and different and exciting. So it became a no-brainer for us to team up again. And right away we began to talk about what was the most important to us—what do we all have in common?
Family was what we had in common. No matter the size or the shape, everybody, all of us, we all have a family. For Lin, Jared, and myself, we all have large extended families… so our early research was really about ourselves and our own families.
We wanted to ask a central question within our film, a question no doubt we have all asked ourselves at one time or another. How well do we truly know our families? And how well do they know us?… We really wanted to get [this film] right. And this has been the most exciting adventure of our careers.

Ultimately, we got to work with magical realism at top of mind—and when we infused magical realism into our story of family and thought about those Encantos, everything came alive. Because we realized that if the family in our story lived in one of these magical Encantos, maybe the children born there would be kind of special—special in a way that is a nod to family dynamics that we can all relate to. There’s a strong, dependable child who’s the rock of the family. There’s the perfect golden child whose happiness blossoms. There’s a quiet kid who’s not so comfortable talking to people, so he talks to animals. And there’s the worrywart who can see the future, but only sees the bad things. As we thought about that, we had a big breakthrough, because we realized that the family’s house didn’t just have to be ‘a house,’ because in an Encanto the house itself could have powers too… each of the rooms in this house is a fantastical realm that represents the personality and magical powers of the Madrigal who lives there.

The Family Madrigal est tellement entrainante dans ce qu'on peut entendre! Very Happy

J'adore le dynamisme de Mirabel! Son animation, bien plus axée sur le comique que l'élégance, tranche un peu avec ce qu'on a l'habitude de voir chez les héroïnes Disney et la démarque vraiment.

Je m'étonnais qu'on n'ait aucune nouvelle de la distribution française, voilà que The Walt Disney Company France la révèle :

J’attendrai la sortie sur Disney + en espérant être agréablement surpris mais malgré tout l’intérêt que peut susciter un film des studios Walt Disney, celui ci me laisse pour le moment indifférent.

Idem, ce n'est vraiment pas habituel comme mise en scène et chanson "d'introduction" pour un classique. Cela m'a l'air moins "théâtral" et « grandiose » que d'habitude avec Maribel qui fixe la caméra.
Cela me fait penser à un film Dreamworks, je ne sais pas comment l'expliquer. Peut-être est-ce le fait que je prends de l’âge, mais j’ai l’impression que c’est très enfantin Neutral

Je n’accroche pas à la voix VO également.

Lastly, kudos to Byron Howard Jared Bush & Charise Castro Smith for telling a story that not embraces and celebrates culture, but does so in a way that is relatable to everyone including children of all ages. This film conveys the kind of Disney magic that I want to see more of.

LMM comprised eight songs that are a love letter to Reggaton, Salsa, and Colombia itself. So much fun but also deeply emotional. If the Moana soundtrack has been on constant rotation, get ready for #Encanto to bust through your speakers. Soo good.

Ces critiques donnent tellement envie!
Je suis contente que le casting français ne soit pas truffé de star. La seule star, José Garcia, a fait plusieurs fois ses preuves au doublage et ça fait longtemps qu'on ne l'a pas revu à l'exercice, donc c'est assez excitant.

De toute la liste, seul Juan Arbelaez, chef cuisinier colombien, n'est pas comédien et/ou chanteur.
Content également de retrouver José Garcia, qui a toujours été très bon dans l'exercice du doublage.
