[Disney California Adventure] Placemaking et futur du Parc

A quick look in the California Adventure map shows that the park's parade route has been cut in half, as more and more construction walls line the previous route, cutting back on guest viewing space. Also cut from the map - the Orange Stinger, which has been completely removed as it undergoes its transformation into the Silly Symphony Swings.


The Silly Symphony Swings are now listed as a "coming soon" attraction. We'll check in on California Adventure construction later in today's update. First, let's head into Disneyland park.


WORLD OF COLOR & PARADISE PARK VIEWING AREA
Work seems to be moving slow at the new 9,000-guest Paradise Park viewing area, but in reality, things are changing in the area constantly, as construction teams turn the space into a multi-leveled Victorian-styled seaside park.















Work continues on the massive World of Color show platform





The new wooden railing alongside the California Screamin' launch has been painted and weathered.




THE LITTLE MERMAID: ARIEL'S UNDERSEA ADVENTURE & CARS LAND
It doesn't seem like there's enough space for a big new Little Mermaid E-Ticket dark ride, but the Imagineers sure think so.





Work continues on the acreage that will become Cars Land over the next couple years.





SILLY SYMPHONY SWINGS & MICKEY'S FUN WHEEL
Work continues on the old Orange Stinger, as it becomes the Silly Symphony Swings by Spring 2010.





Mirrors continue to be removed around Mickey's Fun Wheel.

chez nous ils ont fait passer SM:M2 pour une nouveauté et c'est pousser aussi alors.

Construction continues on the huge World of Color and Paradise Park viewing area projects. The new Paradise Park fountain/sculpture continues to take shape behind construction walls.

The exposed steel around the edge of the new Paradise Park boardwalk was painted green a a few weeks back, and now have these bronze rosetta accent pieces... I hope this isn't the extent of the themeing for this.

Similarly, the former Timon parking lot has a lot of groundwork to get through before Cars Land begins to take shape.

The concrete foundation of the new Silly Symphony Swings covered boardwalk queue has gotten a treatment to appear more like wood.













Nearby the Swings, walls have gone up near the Paradise Pier parade gates.

Les premières photos arrivent de l'expo D23 sur Micechat.com... et on y trouve plein de concepts et maquettes, comme Carsland par exemple:



Vous avez vu la taille de ce truc? (regardez les petites figurines en bas)

J'ai un peu de mal à comprendre le nom des lands... pourquoi ne pas avoir appelé ça Radiator springs, plutôt que Carsland

C'est super jolie est immense, c'est peu être l'équivalent de notre BTM et elle respecte le film.

C'est monstrueusement élevé!

Ça va bien cacher la ville derrière.

Oui, ça va enfin boucher la vue sur le Anaheim convention center. C'est l'un des plus gros défauts de DCA, le parc n'est pasx isolé du monde extérieur, contrairement au parc Disneyland. Du coup, on n'a pas cette sensation d'immersion. C'est d'ailleurs le reproche que je ferais à la refonte de Paradise Pier, d'où on voir toujours les hôtels juste derrière.


Avec cars land, le fond sera enfin "bouché" par un vrai décor Disney (les plus hauts rochers feraient 35 mètres). Ce truc a l'air en tout cas effectivement géant !

En même temps derrière Paradise Pier, ce sont des hôtels Disney, qui plus est un tantinet dans le thème (plus ou moins). La nouvelle zone du Grand Californian qui fait face à Muholand Madness a d'ailleurs été travaillée en conséquence, et le Paradise Pier Hôtel qui collait bien avec l'ancien Paradise Pier, pourrait être rethêmé d'ici quelques temps pour mieux coller avec l'ambiance victorienne de la baie.

Honnêtement, lors de mes visites à DCA, c'est cette absence d'immersion, en raison des intrusions visuelles extérieures, qui m'ont le plus dérangé. Hotel Disney ou pas (d'ailleurs;, faux hotel Disney, puisqu'il existait bien avant que Disney le rachète), on voit juste à l'extérieur du parc et, surtout, c'est très plat. On n'a pas un beau décor en toile de fond.
Mais Cars land va boucher toute une partie de l'extérieur, ce qui est très bon...

Impressionnant l'AA de Flash McQueen ! Les mouvements de la bouche sont trés fluide .

Je pense que pour sa bouche c'est une projection. (c'est mon avis)
Pour l'attraction de Carsland (désolé j'ai oublié le nom) , elle m'a l'air vraiment géniale.

C est également mon avis , ce qui rend le rendu encor plus impressionnant.
