En tout cas, leurs couvertures sont bien souvent laides. Cela fait vraiment amateur et ne m'incite clairement pas à acheter.
Elles sont effectivement bien moches car contrairement à Chronicle Books et Abrams aux Etats-Unis ou Huginn & Muninn et Hachette en France, cet éditeur ne possèdent pas d'accord officiel avec Disney Publishing Worldwide.
Theme Park Press n'a de ce fait pas accès aux banques d'images des différentes filiales de The Walt Disney Company et ne dispose pas de droits de reproduction. Cela limite dès lors leurs possibilités à quelques designs suggestifs pour les couvertures et éventuellement quelques photos libres de droits pour illustrer leurs textes.
L'éditeur surfe visiblement sur la vague "Disney" et la plus part de ses publications s'apparentent à des fan books.
Je vous rejoins sur le design passable des couvertures. En soit, ce n'est pas le choix des images qui me dérange - d'ailleurs les caricatures utilisées pour les livres de Didier Ghez sont superbes, mais plutôt les choix typographiques, dignes d'un Comic sans MS... M'enfin, cela ne retire rien à la qualité d'une bonne partie des titres. D'ailleurs, j'ai hâte de pouvoir me procurer celui sur Les Gremlins, qui viendra compléter la réédition du livre de Dark Horse et la BD proposée par le même éditeur.
