| Description complète de Fantasyland, ses attractions et restaurants : Image cnceptuelle : Shanghai Disney Resort.Fantasyland Fantasyland, inspired by Disney’s animated films, will be the largest of all the lands in Shanghai Disneyland and home to the majestic Enchanted Storybook Castle. The castle overlooks a storybook village and an enchanted forest, while exciting attractions immerse guests in beloved stories. Every corner of Fantasyland will offer a magical experience that embraces, involves, and engages the entire family. In this fairy-tale paradise, guests will float through familiar Disney stories on Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, a fanciful excursion making its global premiere at Shanghai Disneyland. This timeless land is for the young and young at heart, a place where fairy tales are born and live forever. Guests will, hitch a ride on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – in and out of tunnels glowing with dazzling diamonds – and take flight over the skies of London on Peter Pan’s Flight. They may also explore the Hundred Acre Wood with Winnie the Pooh or follow Alice through a dazzling Wonderland maze. Here is a sampling of what guests will experience, with more details to come. Voyage to the Crystal GrottoVoyage to the Crystal Grotto will be an enchanting excursion that travels the waters of Fantasyland. Fanciful fountains and sculptures line the water’s edge, celebrating classic tales of magic and imagination. At journey’s end, guests will glide beneath Enchanted Storybook Castle, into a secret, underground chamber in which fountains of light will leap and dance in shimmering pools, surrounding guests with magic, music and color. The experience is sure to inspire the dreams and imaginations of all who make this wondrous voyage. Seven Dwarfs Mine TrainInspired by Disney’s classic animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, this family-friendly coaster will take guests into a fabulous mine glittering with jewels, where the Seven Dwarfs sing happily as they work. Guests ride in a train of mine cars that winds through rolling hills, with views of pools and waterfalls as they leave the mine and dash on toward the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs. Each mine car is mounted in a cradle-like pivot that allows it to swing back and forth as the track turns. Guests will enjoy music from the classic Disney film, along with a cast of animated figures and helpful forest animals. Hunny Pot SpinIn the Hundred Acre Wood, Hunny Pot Spin is a delightful family attraction where guests ride inside whirling honey pots – in honor of Winnie the Pooh’s favorite food. “Hunny” is the way Pooh labels his ceramic jars filled with honey. Beneath a canopy strung with honey-dripping hives, friendly bees hum the Winnie the Pooh song to accompany the twirling guests. How fast each honey pot spins is determined by the guests, who will add speed by turning a wheel in the center of the honey pot. The honey pots, labeled in English and Chinese, are painted in loving detail, and each pot appears to be dripping with honey that oozes down the side. Alice in Wonderland MazeDesigned especially for Shanghai Disneyland, this maze is the first attraction at a Disney park themed to Tim Burton’s live-action film Alice in Wonderland. In the experience, guests will choose their own path as they wind through the delightfully whimsical world of Wonderland on their way to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Along the way, they may encounter the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit and sculptures of characters, including the tyrannical Red Queen. In a maze of sculpted hedges, stone garden walls, giant flowers, and whimsical sculptures, there’s fun at every turn in this delightful family adventure. Peter Pan's Flight Aboard a “flying” ship in Peter Pan’s Flight, guests will sail through the skies over London and off to Never Land. There, Peter Pan will lead guests through a series of remarkable adventures to confront the villainous Captain Hook and his pirate crew. With an exciting, new ride system, guests will soar as never before into this action-packed story of the boy who encourages imaginations to fly. In this classic attraction, updated for Shanghai Disneyland, new Disney magic brings the ships closer to the action and face to face with the characters, as they are engulfed in Pixie Dust. “Frozen: A Sing-Along Celebration” Audiences atEvergreen Playhousewill join their Frozen friends and the villagers of Arendelle for a fun and frosty interactive showcase, packed with a flurry of stories, songs and sing-alongs.Two amusing and engaging Festival Guides will host the celebration and introduce each magical musical number. Well-known characters Elsa, Anna and Kristoff will join the fun and guests of all ages will be encouraged to sing along with a few favorite Frozen tunes Tangled Tree Tavern Located in the Fantasyland forest, Tangled Tree Tavern is inspired by the Snuggly Duckling, the pub featured in Disney’s animated film Tangled, the tale of Rapunzel. Warped by time and the roots of the large tree nearby, Tangled Tree Tavern is full of rich details and an atmosphere befitting the boisterous ruffians and thugs in the film. Guests will enjoy a hearty meal in this lush woodland environment. “Firsts” at Shanghai Disney Resort:• Maiden voyage: Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, an enchanting new excursion, is the first attraction to take guests underneath a Disney castle. Traveling beneath the Enchanted Storybook Castle, guests will discoveran original story and a magical world. • Inverted-coaster ride system: The flying sensation in Peter Pan’s Flight will be enhanced by a newly developed inverted-coaster ride system, debuting at a Disney park for this attraction. With new magic, the ride vehicles swoop closer to the action with varying speeds, enabling guests to become more immersed in the story as they fly in and out of each scene. Tangled Tree Tavern |

- Citation :
- Disney magic comes alive in Fantasyland
RIGHT behind the Enchanted Storybook Castle in the soon-to-open Shanghai Disney Resort sits Fantasyland, where Disney’s beloved films will be brought to life by a series of exciting attractions. According to Lori Coltrin, Executive Creative Director of the themed land, and Wei Tingting, Fantasyland’s project coordinator, the goal when creating this enchanting land was to bring Disney stories to life for visitors at a destination that is both authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese.
“This is a very unique Fantasyland at all of our parks,” said Coltrin. “The Enchanted Storybook Castle is raised on a hill, so guests can view the castle throughout the whole of the land.”
Disney designers took advantage of this layout to create one of the area’s signature attractions, Voyage to the Crystal Grotto. In this first-of-its-kind attraction, visitors can embark on a fancifulride down a waterway that leads to an underground chamber right beneath the enchanted castle. Along the way, they’ll take part in a journey celebrating classic tales of magic and imagination.
“The experience is sure to inspire the dreams and imaginations of all who make this wondrous voyage,” said Wei.
Another centerpiece of Fantasyland is Peter Pan’s Flight. Here, riders can sail through the skies over London and off to Never Land with Peter, using Disnely’s newly developed ride system. Riders will find themselves right in the action as they swoop and dive through the ride’s exciting scenes.
A show based on the recent Disney hit “Frozen,” can also be found at Fantasyland.
Visitors will also join Elsa, Anna and Kristoff from “Frozen” for a fun and warm-hearted interactive showcase packed with a flurry of stories, music and sing-alongs.
Located in the Fantasyland forest, there’s the Tangled Tree Tavern, inspired by the Snuggly Duckling, the pub featured in “Tangled.” Warped by time and the roots of an enormous nearby tree, the richly-detailed tavern is imbued with an atmosphere befitting the film’s colorful ruffians. Here, guests can enjoy a hearty meal in a lush woodland environment.
Of course, like the park’s other themed areas, Chinese elements will be dotted throughout the land, waiting to be discovered.
“We blend authentic Disney and traditional Chinese design principles,” said Wei. “We feel that traditional Chinese stories and the Disney world share important concepts and values.”
Having been with Disney for nearly two decades, Coltrin has worked at Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park and Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida. “I started my job in the company as a creative designer, and I kind of worked my up to here,” she explained.
Meanwhile, the Shanghai project marks Wei’s first major theme park job with Disney. Born in Shanghai, Wei moved to the United States at the age of nine.
“It feels good that I can come back here again and share my cultural background with the team to design Fantasyland,” she said.
“Disney has always had a special place in my life and working for the company is like a dream come true.”
Wei added that as a child, her mother worked hard to save money to take her to Disneyland in the US.
“That was the only family vacation that my mother ever took me on,” she said. “The trip was so amazing. It has always stayed with me.”
How would you describe your job at Shanghai Disney Resort ?
Lori Coltrin : My job is to establish the vision for Fantasyland, and look into the design and concept to make sure they stick to the movies. It’s like being a director for a movie, but just Fantasyland is our movie.
Wei Tingting : Having been working on the project for five years, my current job is to stay in contact with everyone involved, including imagnineers, cast and vendors, to reinforce each other’s efforts.
What do you think is the biggest challenge in designing Fantasyland ?
Coltrin : I think the biggest challenge is how vast it is, because it is the biggest Fantasyland Disney has created so far. There are so many different neighborhoods, architecture styles and so on. And I appreciate that we have such a great team working on it. Our teamwork and collaboration has been amazing.
What is the best part about working for Disney ?
Coltrin: It’s definitely the people. They are the ones keeping me going. Our commitment to collaboration, teamwork, and mutual success enables us to create magical and innovative experiences that only Disney can do.
Wei : I think it’s knowing what the Disney brand means to the world and being responsible for doing the right thing in the right way.
